Андрей Левкин

Рижанин, закончил мехмат МГУ, математик. Литератор, переводчик, редактор, журналист. 16 книг, в частности «Междуцарствие», «Цыганский роман», «Голем, русская версия», «Черно-белый воздух», «Мозгва», «Счастьеловка», «Вена, операционная система», «Битый пискель», «Дым внутрь погоды». «Малая букеровская премия России» (за журнал «Родник») – 1994 год. Премия Андрея Белого (проза) – 2001.

 

Andrey Levkin (1954, Riga, Latvian SSR – 2023) – Latvian and Russian prose writer, editor, journalist. Holder of Andrei Bely Literary Prize for prose (2001). He served as the editor of award-winning Rodnik literary magazine in Riga (1987-1994). Since 1998 he served as editor-in-chief for SMI.ru and Polit.ru online publications in Moscow, Russia. Levkin served as a columnist for Gazeta.ru, OpenSpace, Vzglyad, Slon.ru, Expert Online, Arterritory.com. Edited the NET-culture section in the Russian Journal. His prose was published in various literary outlets, including Daugava, Mitin Journal, Russian Prose, Vozdukh, Novaya Yunost', Nosorog. Also, Levkin was co-creator of Post(non)fiction online literary art project/zine. He is an author of more than 18 books of prose. “The Happiness Trap” was first published in Oktyabr', prior being published in hardcover by Novoe Literaturnoe Obozrenie (2007).
