These poems are translations of some of the works from Contemporary Russian Free Verse anthology collected and edited by Anna Orlitskaya and Yury Orlitsky and published by Moscow Writers Union in 2019. The anthology represents poetic works read on 25 festivals of Russian Free Verse that have been organized by Yuri Orlitsky since year 1990. Hence, not all significant Russian poets, who write free verses, are included into this anthology, but only those who participated in these festivals. Moreover, not all texts from the anthology are shown in this issue, as it is the first step taken by by a group of translators in order to make English-speaking readers and scholars familiar with the variety of Russian free verse and poets who write it. All translations of the Free Verse Anthology will be presented later on a special web site by Anna Orlitskaya and Yury Orlitsky.
